Compassion opens the door. Education builds the future.
Real change doesn’t happen in a moment.
It happens day after day.
In classrooms.
With teachers who care.
With children given the chance to learn, grow, and dream.
Spirit-empowered education is how compassion becomes something lasting.
Compassion is where it begins.
It starts with seeing a child.
Not as a number. Not as a problem.
But as someone created with purpose.
Across Latin America and the Caribbean, compassion opens the door—
to care, to dignity, to hope.
And it often begins with someone choosing to act.

Sometimes the most meaningful acts are also the simplest.
As we prepare to distribute water filters in Belize, we are reminded that meeting a physical need can also reflect something deeper.
Our missionary Brooke Miller shared:
“Sharing clean water is a simple way to reflect the heart of Jesus.”
Each filter placed into a home is more than a tool.
It is a reminder that someone cares. That someone sees. That someone is willing to help.
And beyond that, it points to something greater.
Jesus calls Himself the Living Water. The One who satisfies our deepest needs and offers life that never runs dry.

In Belize, access to clean drinking water is still a challenge for many families.
In some communities, families do not have safe drinking water at home or at school. Instead, they must purchase bottled water for daily use, and children have to bring that water with them to school each day.
Across our network in Belize, half of ChildHope schools do not currently have access to treated drinking water.
Even in places where clean water is usually available, it is not guaranteed. Recently, one ChildHope school had to close for several days after floodwaters contaminated their supply.
This is why water filters matter.
Our missionary, Brooke Miller, has received water filters that will soon be distributed to families and schools when classes resume. These filters will help provide a reliable source of clean drinking water and reduce the burden of purchasing it every day.
A simple solution can make a lasting difference.

As we highlight the impact of clean water in the communities ChildHope serves, we’re giving away two Owala water bottles.
Clean water is something many of us experience every day without thinking about it. But across Latin America and the Caribbean, many families do not have reliable access to safe drinking water. Through partnerships that provide water filters, communities are gaining access to safer water and healthier lives.
To celebrate this work, we’re giving away two Owala water bottles to members of our community.

Watch what happens when teachers in Bolivia train students and families to use water filters that bring clean drinking water to their communities.
On a recent visit, the Sawyer team captured this video showing something we love to see happening in ChildHope schools: knowledge spreading.
Teachers are helping students and families learn how to use Sawyer tap filters, and that knowledge doesn’t stay inside the classroom. Students bring it home. Families share it with neighbors. Before long, entire communities begin to benefit.
In places where bottled water is simply too expensive, many families have had no choice but to drink contaminated water. Access to safe drinking water can change so much. Health improves. Children miss fewer days of school. Daily life becomes more stable.
We are deeply grateful for our partnership with Sawyer Products and The Sawyer Foundation . Their commitment to clean water is helping bring practical solutions to communities we serve across Latin America.
Together we are seeing clean water reach communities that need it most.

Clean water changes everything. 💧
And we believe every child deserves it.
For many of us, safe drinking water is something we rarely think about. But across Latin America and the Caribbean, families are still facing daily challenges just to access it.
At ChildHope, we believe every child deserves not only clean water, but the opportunity to grow, learn, and experience the love of Christ in their community. Through partnerships that provide water filters, we’re seeing healthier lives and renewed hope take root.
And as we meet physical needs, we are always pointing to something greater—the living water that Jesus offers, bringing lasting hope to every child we serve.
To celebrate what God is doing through this work, we’re giving away two Owala water bottles to our community.

Sometimes the impact of clean water is measured in statistics.
Sometimes it is measured in lives saved.
For years, Dalma has faithfully served with the ChildHope Dominican Republic team. When missionaries Chad and Terri Nelson returned to the U.S., Dalma continued leading the distribution of water filters in the communities they had served together.
A few years ago, she brought several filters to the community where she grew up. Families there had no reliable access to safe drinking water.
The filters worked. People were healthier. Children missed fewer days of school.
But nearby, another community did not have access to clean water. Some residents drank contaminated water because they could not afford other options, and several people lost their lives.
When the Ministry of Health heard about the filters Dalma was distributing, they asked her to bring more.
Since then, over 100 Sawyer water filters have been distributed on behalf of ChildHope and in Jesus’ name in that community.
Recently, Dalma received this message from a man whose family received one of the filters:
"Thank you for allowing me and my family to have this filter for the past six months. My wife and mother-in-law died previously because of the contaminated water in our community. Thank you to you and to the ministry that came to help us even though you didn’t know us. May God give you a long and beautiful life. Our communities are so thankful… thank you for helping us avoid more people dying because of our water."
Clean water protects lives.
And through partners like Sawyer Products and faithful leaders like Dalma, ChildHope continues working to bring safe drinking water to schools and communities across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Because every child, every family, and every community deserves the chance to live, learn, and thrive.

In many of the countries we serve across Latin America and the Caribbean, clean drinking water is not guaranteed.
Children arrive at school already battling stomach pain. Parents miss work caring for sick little ones. Preventable waterborne illness quietly steals days of learning, income and stability.
That is why ChildHope partners with Sawyer Products to place high-capacity water filters in schools and homes where they are needed most.
In the Dominican Republic, researchers from Hope College documented an 84% reduction in waterborne illness among communities that received filters.
That means:
• Fewer sick days
• More time in the classroom
• Less money spent on medical bills
• Stronger, healthier communities
Some of the larger school filters can provide up to 50,000 gallons of clean water per day, serving students and even the surrounding neighborhood.
Clean water changes today.
Living Water changes eternity.
When we provide both, the impact reaches far beyond a single drink.
