Global PechaKucha Night started about 12 hours ago in Tokyo, and right now it's happening in Perth, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Manila.
It's Friday, September 20 (here in Japan), and that means that our PechaKucha Global Night is about to start! Tonight, over 100 PechaKucha Nights will take place all over the world, starting in New Zealand and going all the way to the North American west coast. Is your closest PechaKucha Night series taking part? On the Pechakucha website, check our global calendar, our list of upcoming events, or go directly to your local city page. The theme for the night is "hidden heroes," and so expect presentations at each of these events on that very topic!

The second part of the evening is our Global Hangout! We've teamed up with Google+ Hangouts on Air to produce a non-stop 20-hour chat that will circle the globe, bringing in PechaKucha Night organizers from around the world, as they update us on their events. We will start on Friday at 19:00 JST (GMT +9) and finish 20 hours later, and you'll be able to watch the whole thing by going to the front page of the PechaKucha website (where you'll find a handy link).
It is going to be a really AMAZING and INSANE night so please help us get the word on all your favorite social networks -- our hashtag for the evening is:
