🎯 Introduction to Archery
Date/Time: Sunday, June 21st at 10:00 AM
Details: Aim & arrow! Learn the basics of archery in a fun, safe environment.
Meeting Location: Archery Range

🥾 Summer Solstice Hike
Date/Time: Sunday, June 21st at 1:00 PM
Details: Celebrate the official start of summer with a scenic 2-mile Lakeview trek!
Meeting Location: Nature Center (by the Marina)

🌸 Summer Wildflower Walk
Date/Time: Friday, June 26th at 6:00 PM
Details: Discover gorgeous seasonal blooms on a 2-mile guided hike.
Meeting Location: Coyote Run Trail (located 2 miles down off the main road)

🌊🚤 Boating Season is Here – Slips Are Still Available! ☀️🛶
Did you miss the lottery or decide last-minute that this is the summer to be on the water? Good news! We still have open dock spaces (highlighted in yellow) available at the Buck Creek Marina!

Don't spend your weekends waiting at the boat ramp—secure your spot and maximize your time on the lake.

📍 How to Secure Your Slip:
Swing by the Park Office in person to check current availability and finalize your contract. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't wait!

Also stop by the Marina to grab your fresh bait, stock up on snacks, or treat yourself to some ice cream while you're here. 🍦🎣

👟 5 MILES FOR MEN’S HEALTH!
It’s time to lace up those sneakers. We’re teaming up with Mercy Health for a 5-mile ruck dedicated entirely to raising awareness for men’s health!
​Whether you’re seasoned in rucking or just looking for a good walk with friends, this event is for everyone. It’s all about getting moving, breaking a sweat, and taking charge of our well-being. Details are below

Join us on June 6th for a variety of guests, programs, food trucks, and more to celebrate the cultural heritage of Greene County. Special guests will include Chief Glenna Wallace of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, representatives of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, Peter Cozzens, Robert A. Crum, and more!

The weekend is finally here, and the new Marina and Nature Center are OPEN to help you make the most of it! 🎉

We are now open 7 days a week with extended hours on the weekend so you can stay out on the water longer.

Friday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Looking to make the most of your weekend? Whether you want to relax by the water or hit the trails, Buck Creek State Park is the perfect outdoor escape.

Here is how you can spend your days at the lake this weekend:

Get on the Water: Bring your boat or jet ski out onto the 2,120-acre reservoir for unlimited-horsepower cruising and water skiing. 🚤

Visit the Marina: Swing by the marina store for snacks, bait, and souveniors, or check out the interactive nature center exhibits and grab some hand-dipped ice cream! 🍦

Cast a Line: Try your luck catching walleye, bass, or catfish from the water or the accessible fishing pier by the marina. 🎣

Explore the Trails: Bike or hike the paved 6-mile Buck Creek Trail, which connects directly into the Springfield trail system. 🚲

Play Disc Golf: Challenge your friends to a round at the 18-hole course located right on Park Road. 🎯
