Wrestling With Fatherhood

In my efforts to become an American Ninja Warrior, I I have been doing the 75 Hard Challenge with a great group of guys. It is SO easy to get conferrable with where you're at.

To top things off, I am a stay at home dad (which makes things fun AND today I start my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling).

Why do I bring this up? I'm glad you asked. Its because as a dad, my daughters are watching me. They are watching to see if I quit when things get tough. They are watching to see if I stop training as I start my Master's. They are asking why on Earth I'm doing 75 Hard in the middle of all of this.

The answer is simple. As dads, we set the bar on what our children believe they can do. If I, as a stay at home dad, stop in the middle of a struggle, then that is what Im showing my 3 daughters....It is ok to quit when it gets hard. It is ok to SETTLE for second best.

However, as I succeed...I show my daughters to fight.

Fight - for their dreams
Fight - for their marriage
Fight - for their purpose
Fight - during the struggle
Fight - during tough times
Fight - when you feel like quitting

Dads, our children are watching. You don't have to be an American Ninja Warrior BUT you should be a Family Warrior.
