I never did post the finished print that Denise and I made for Art Synergy! The piece turned out beautiful and I love the message it sends. Now, months later, I love this print more and more.
I also can't believe I managed to keep all that white fabric white without making a mess of it while I sewed it up, that is a miracle. I'm normally a hot mess and my art clothes are all stained with all kinds of paint and stuff, so the fact the white fabric is so pristine is a miracle!
I think the words in the roots mean more these days. Art is something that matters, and this is why, we can use our artistic voices to show what we want to say in our art. Denise wanted to say what matters to her, what she believed was the "root" of a good community, and it is something I believe strongly in as well. I could ramble on about it, but I won't. I hope you enjoy the print.

For the for April is so I made a tiny itty bitty pistachio book! Made from a pistachio nut and hand made paper. I love it! ❤️ Probably the littlest book I've made. It's so wee!
I think a goblin could use it to keep their little recipes! 😁

Warning! This is the book I made for the January challenge, which was . I thought of muscles and the wild strength of phobias. The print also reminds me of animal skins.
A gif of making the synergy collage! This was fun to make and finally got the photos all made into a nice gif format!

I do always love seeing my work on display! These are my two pit fired ceramic vases at the Springfield Art Association Collective in downtown Springfield. I am working on making my own lamp shades but that process has been slow. But the lamp bases turned out amazing during the pit fire!

I'm working on making some "paper" from cicada wings. Since we had the double brood in Springfield Illinois I've been picking up the dead ones and removing them of their wings, which has been fairly disgusting. I'm going to use these with lampshades that I'm going to make for the lamp bases that I made in the pitfire last week end.

A few pots out of the pit fire! I used copper carbonate, lithium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, strontium carbonate, cough syrup, a random assortment of expired medicine, liquid cleaning detergent, Epson salt, miracle grow, dry cat food, copper and steel wool scrubbies and aluminum foil.
Once I give them all a good scrub I'll shine them up with concrete sealer then get the big ones made into lamp bases!
