It was a really fun run. Hopefully there was a difference made in the insane efforts of the Valor operation. Many said our operation was insane and wouldn't work. With over a 95% survival rate of the trees the first year, and close to a 90% survival rate of the trees in their forever homes, I'd say that there was something special watching over the valley and our operation. I feel so blessed to have helped where I could, and know that folks have now rebuilt. If you are looking for trees and would be interested in our continued mission please leave a comment and let me know. I must apologize for our second year of doug firs that had a lower... success rate. We on the farm were unfortunately unable to be a part of lifting or distributing the trees. Let it be known that our second year of trees still had a roughly 90% survival rate before they were lifted to be donated to our community. Rotating water daily between 3 separate runs ensured the survival of the trees. In any event, we hope we made a difference. We look forward to hearing from the community, and if there is need now, we may look at re-opening our doors in at least some capacity to help. God bless. -Wes

Just because we haven't been working on trees does not mean we haven't been busy. We've been partially retooling our farm and are excited to provide the community with other goods beyond trees in the future. This spring has offered many blossoms on our fruit trees and hopefully we will have specialty fruit available this fall. We hope the trees you received from us are growing along side of your home rebuilds. I hope the trees have provided some optimism for you all in you're endeavors. We really do look forward to being able to contribute to the fire survivors in the future, and greatly appreciate your understanding in us taking a year off. We love you guys.

It is with our deepest regrets that we must inform you that Valor Family Farm is currently not operating as a non-profit for the last 6+ months and unfortunately need to take a break from our contributions to the community. There have been many changes and hardships on the farm and we appreciate your understanding as we transition. We look forward to helping our community in the future but must regroup. For those of you that have stopped by and picked up trees in the past we are very much saddened to have missed you this spring. You guys are what makes it all worth it. We would like to thank all of the volunteers that have poured their hearts into our crazy mission. Without you we could not have donated over 50,000 trees into the community in the last 2 years. Thank you! We love you! We look forward to serving you in the future!

We are looking to acquire more trees for donation to fire survivors. Elderberries always come first to mind for us here at the farm but if you would prefer something else what would you like to see?

We REALLY would like to hear back on how your plants are doing! Please, share pictures of your trees and tell us about you're survival rates. Tell us how many trees you have received and how they are doing! As always we wish you happy planting, and we hope to see you all this early spring!

It has been so wonderful seeing all the familiar faces and making new friends during our rhododendron event. We are elated to announce we were able to get 203 plants sent to their forever homes, servicing 52 residences of our neighbors up river.
Thank you to everyone that stopped in to see us, and thank you for those that were able to donate to our cause. A big thank you to Log Cabin Nursery for supplying the plants. Without the support of local nurseries we couldn't do what we do. We hope you have a wonderful fall season and hope to see you again in early spring!
Happy Planting!
