Nice weather for the start of the week. We can expect seasonable or above average conditions all week.

I’m working on solving some issues with this page, so the number of posts might be limited for a few days.

Happy Thursday! We are starting the day with cool temperatures but luckily calm conditions. The cloud coverage should stay light for most of the area, helping temperatures reach the mid 60s. A chance for some showers near and north of I-74 like Champaign and Danville. These showers could continue into the evening for that area. Otherwise, the temperatures will drop tonight into the mid to upper 40s with some clouds. Friday will have some showers in the area during the back half of the morning and can continue into the early afternoon. After that, the day should remain dry and temperatures hopefully reach the low 70s. Saturday looks like the best day in the forecast. Plenty of sunshine and temperatures into the upper 70s. We do expect some showers to return Saturday night and will continue into Mother’s Day morning. For Mother’s Day, expect some showers in the morning, but hopefully drier conditions during the afternoon. Even if it is dry, it will be mostly cloudy but temperatures should be in the upper 60s and low 70s. Temperatures will slowly rise back to seasonable and above average conditions as we progress through next week.

The clouds are clearing out earlier than expected this morning, but no complaints from me. This will allow more sunshine and possibility slightly warmer temperatures than we thought from earlier this morning.

Our next round of showers is entering Central Illinois. We can expect these showers to linger throughout most of the afternoon and portions of the evening.

Scattered showers with some rumbles of thunder this morning. Keep the umbrella with you today since the rain will be in the region for most of the afternoon and evening commute home.
