A just completed Springfield stair remodel! A new look with treads and nosing's replaced, simple square newel's, low profile rails and hammered iron balusters. We love doing these!

A sample of what we do every day here at Brookens Wood Floors. This is in a Decatur home in an ongoing project which involves some termite damage repair!

Our recently completed altar floors for St Alexus in Beardstown had me looking for other churches Brookens Wood Floors has done. The search lead me to this 2012/2013 beauty. St Augustine Catholic Church in Ashland. The bulk of the floor was intact but needing major repairs and refinishing. Added was the majority of the high altar, large heating system vents patched out and the accessibility ramp.
We have been honing our skills since 1976 and are set to bring our expertise into the future for you!

We love doing installations of Altar areas in churches! This is our most recent, St. Alexius in Beardstown Illinois. A special thank you goes out to Fr. Habing for giving us the opportunity to add the timelessness of wood flooring to this historic Church.

From a carpet covered frame to a richly finished stair to be proud of! This recently finished project is located in Springfield. Could your stair use a new look?

An antique chestnut floor near Jacksonville we installed and sanded a while back. We recently returned to put on the final coat of Bona Traffic HD satin.

What a difference in a hundred year old floor! Our recent sanding of a classic Springfield IL house reveled the beauty of the fir flooring hidden under a dark aged finish.
What treasure lays hidden under yours??

A nice before and after, 3 1/4" prefinished maple (right) sanded flat accenting with a custom grey stain and finished. This is what we do every day!

After the initial sanding and staining of their Brazilian cherry flooring this couple decided to replace the stairs too! In this recently completed job we installed new nosing's, treads with painted risers and a complete new rail system. Nice!

Introducing the altar area's new flooring at St. Katherine Drexel's Sacred Heart Church in Springfield IL. From VCT tile with metal edging to beautiful stained red oak! First services were held today, December 16, 2023.
