~ It was an exciting and fun Charter Night as the new officers were inducted for the Mason Neck Lions Club on Wednesday Jun 10, 2026!
Past International Director Jay Moughon speaks and intro’s District Governor-elect Chuck Swab, who swears in each of the new leadership and challenges all Lions to “Engage”, referring to the Star Trek Next Gen’s’ Captain Jean-Luc Picards’ orders, exhorting us to further serve others.
Chuck also informed us about Lions Grants such as Emergency Preparedness, and talked of our district embracing our district’s new partnership for with the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind. He also invited the members to the Fall Lions Conference Sept 19th.

Today at the BOS meeting, we designated June 12, 2026 as Declaration Day in Fairfax County in honor of the enduring legacy of the Virginia Declaration of Rights and its significance to our community, Commonwealth, and the nation!
This weekend stop by Gunston Hall for Declaration Day celebrations!
- Friday, June 12: Naturalization Ceremony from 10am - 1pm
- Saturday, June 13: Festival celebration from 10am - 4pm
