That moment when you pass the kid your phone, and he snaps a Pic of you doing your favorite zoo thing in the whole wide world. I will never NOT feed the giraffes! I did, however, restrain myself from booping the snoot-- though if ever wants to make a teacher-mom's dream come true, I'd not turn down the chance to boop a giraffe.

This epic kid knew early on that she loved to teach people how to do anything! If I won the gift card, I'd use it in my own classroom to keep teaching students how to become lifelong learners!

Hey friends (especially my SCS folks)!
With my roller coaster diabetes journey (and doing all the healthy things and my Pancreas still fights back hard), I discovered that our insurance will cover working with a dietician! I'm working with the Nourish app, so I'm able to telehealth my visits! I've had my 2nd session tonight, and I've got some good goals to work with for my first couple of baby steps.

But it's good to note that (especially since I lost 100 lbs BEFORE diabetes) a lot of the things that I was doing are already in the right patterns. So we're working on adjusting what ingredients I use to bring my cholesterol down (that's a new trick my body is doing) and trying to give my poor pancreas a fighting chance!
