Tomorrow, Wed. May 26th, we will be removing flags from the gravesites. Volunteers are requested to meet in front of the office at 9:00 a.m. If you placed an artificial arrangement on your loved one's grave and you wish to keep it, please remove it at this time. Also, the Cemetery Office will be closed for training tomorrow. Thank you.

Please join us in honoring our fallen heroes at our Memorial Day Ceremony. The program will begin at 1:00 pm this Monday, May 25th. Parking will be at the Springs Church with shuttles provided to and from the cemetery beginning at noon. Thank you.

Friends and families... for the Memorial Day holiday, artificial flower arrangements ARE ALLOWED from THURSDAY MAY 21st through TUESDAY MAY 26th. Thank you.

We will be PLACING flags on all of our headstones on May 18th. If you would like to help, please meet in front of the cemetery office at 9:00 a.m. We will be REMOVING flags on MAY 27th at 9:00 a.m. and would sure appreciate any and all help offered for that task.

The cemetery office will be closed Friday, May 8th, in observance of Truman Day. The office will reopen Monday, May 11th, at 8:00 a.m. Thank you.

We will be placing flags for our Memorial Day Celebration on MAY18th. Volunteers can meet outside the cemetery office on MAY 18th at 9:00 am. Thank you, in advance, for joining us as we come together to show our respect and gratitude for our veterans.

All Missouri Veteran Cemetery offices will be closed Wednesday, April 29th for staff training. The office will reopen on Thursday, April 30th at 8:00 a.m. The cemetery grounds WILL BE OPEN on Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to dusk. Thank you.

Missouri Veterans Cemetery – Springfield was presented the Operational Excellence Award from the National Cemetery Administration this week. Our cemetery team was presented the award by NCA Veterans Cemetery Grants Program Director James Earp. MVC Executive Director Paul Kirchoff, MVC Deputy Director Ryon Richmond, and Veterans Cemeteries Program Director Jim Nugent joined us to celebrate this major accomplishment.
