Behind every Beta is a mom whipping him into shape

A week and a half late, but the numbers are in! We’re proud to announce that we and the sisters of Kappa Delta raised over $1650 for local animal shelters, (Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Animal Welfare League of Clark County, Howelling Corgi Dog Rescue) in the Dayton/Springfield area. A huge thanks to everyone that donated, attended, and made Paws For A Cause possible!

Stop by Stoughton lawn this Friday from 5 to 7 for Paws For A Cause (because who doesn’t like petting dogs)! There’s free admission, food that will be sold at the event, and t-shirts which will still be on sale for $12. Our goal is to raise awareness for animal welfare at local shelters and others like them. All funds raised for/at the event will go back to these local animal shelters, Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Animal Welfare League of Clark County, Howelling Corgi Dog Rescue, whose dogs will be coming to visit! We’re excited to see you all there (I know the dogs will be)!

It’s been 8 long weeks, but we finally gained 10 new brothers. Congrats boys.

Our exec team spent the weekend at Beta’s annual Keystone Leadership Conference in Chicago. Proud of these boys and the work they’re putting in for our fraternity!

These boys made the right choice... introducing our 10-man Spring pledge class! From left to right, we have Danny O’Nan, Aaron Moore, Drake Kobler, David Quayle, Nick Weissman, Frank Metzmeier, Austen Wallenfang, Edwin Blanco, Carter Pierce, and Blake Atwell. Welcome aboard, boys.

Almost there. Next up is JD “Phil” McConnaughey, our new secretary. JD is a sophomore from Lynchburg, Ohio with a major in political science. Other than Beta, JD is an RA, the VP of the bowling club, and a member of student cabinet. “I found a connection to the brothers, both in our personal values/interests, and in our academic pursuits. This made me feel welcomed with the brothers in Beta, and convinced me of my decision to go Greek.”
