Congrats to Roe 13U for their tournament win in Peoria this weekend. This has been a hard week on 3 of our boys from Chatham . Miles, Miles and Greydon we are so proud of how you were able to play so well under the circumstances. It was inspiring to watch all the boys from different teams from our area that were so close to Luke compete and support each other.

Yesterday was a rough emotional day. We all learned that Luke Peterson lost his life at a very young age. Luke was not an Hitting Center Arsenal player. He did, however, take lessons from me off and on over the last 6 years or so. He was a tremendous talent. But what I will miss is his smile and the constant banter between us in lessons.

The Central Illinois baseball community mourns at the loss of life. Our teams compete with one another, scrap on the diamond and coaches have different philosophies. That's where it ends. At the end of the game we are human and care for all the kiddos. As an organization we pray for some kind of peace and comfort, someone family and friends can hold onto and cry to receive love and possibly an ounce of comprehension as to why. Arsenal Baseball prays for Family, friends and the village community of Chatham, yet again devastated by the grief of loss.
