Ability Tree
Coming alongside families impacted by disability through recreation, education, support, and training
The MISSION of Ability Tree is to come alongside families impacted by disability and equip organizations through recreation, education, support, and training. The VISION of Ability Tree is to create inclusive and supportive communities where individuals and families impacted by disability can enjoy healthy relationships. The VALUES of Ability Tree are Growth, Include, Respect, Listen, and Trust.
Every year at Ability Camp, we get a front-row seat to the truth that God is not limited to the world's expectations. We see Him move through adults with disability as they step into their gifts, their community, and into relationship with Him. ๐ ๐
There are only a FEW camper spots left for Session 2 (July 10-14) ๐ โ and Session 3 (August 24-28) is open for both campers and counselors!
Come and experience the power of God for yourself this summer. Link to register is in our stories and bio!
Entering a new environmentโwhether itโs a church, zoo, park, museum, or even a family eventโcan bring uncertainty for families impacted by disability.
โWill my child enjoy it? How will they respond? What happens if it becomes overwhelming?โ
Sometimes, a simple tool like a sensory bag can make a big difference. ๐
Sensory bags help provide comfort and sensory regulation when the world feels like a little too much. ๐ง They can help ease anxiety, reduce stress, and give families the confidence to stay, participate, and enjoy the moment.
Having one on hand can turn a stressful outing into a successful experience ๐
How have you seen sensory bags make a difference? โฌ๏ธ
Micah has been hard at work preparing name tags for Ability Camp this summer!
Ability Camp is his favorite part of the year, and there are still some spots left for YOU to join him in session 2 and 3! Register today and spend the week with the coolest Chief Inspiration Officer ever. ๐
Because of your generosity, 51 campers have received scholarships to attend Ability Camp this summer! ๐ Your giving has also helped provide essential equipment like Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and other resources that make camp accessible for every camper.
When campers are given scholarships or equipment is purchased, families find support, campers gain independence, and barriers are removed so that every person can fully participate in what God is doing throughout the week.
As we prepare for the future, we're asking for your help once again. We're raising funds to continue providing scholarships and to purchase a temperature-controlled storage unit closer to camp so we can better care for and access the equipment that serves our campers year after year.

What a beautiful night of worship! ๐ ๐ถ
This weekend, Ability Tree partnered with Liquid Church to host a sensory-friendly worship night for teens and adults impacted by disability. Together, we celebrated the truth that every person is created in God's image and has a purpose.
Thank you, , for Making Jesus Accessible for families impacted by disability and creating opportunities for everyone to encounter Him. ๐๐

Help us welcome our newest team members, Tara and Sam Collings!
Tara and Sam will be serving as Missionary Associates representing Ability Tree at churches in the New Jersey area and at Ability Camp in Pennsylvania. We love their heart and are so excited for what God has in store for them! Welcome to the Ability Tree team!
To God, it doesnโt matter if you have a diagnosis or not, He wants a relationship with you. At Ability Camp, we encourage everyone to join in worship, and that looks different for each person. Moments like this one are a beautiful reminder that every person is created in the image of God and is capable of bringing Him glory.
Would you consider helping us continue making moments like this possible through your giving? Visit abilitytree.org/camp to find ways to support Ability Camp this summer.
Clothes that starts conversations > clothes that just sit in your closet. ๐๐
The best part about Ability Tree merch isnโt really the merch... Itโs the conversations that happen because of it. The moments where people stop, ask questions, and start thinking differently about disability. You just never know what kind of moments will come from a simple phrase on a t-shirt.
