We’re excited to announce tonight’s Educator of the Game, Amanda Moloney! Amanda is a music teacher at Taylorville Junior High School in Taylorville, IL. She has deep ties to the old ball game, having played first base for many years on the softball field.

Ever passionate for the fulfillment of teamwork, she gave into the call to take a swing at instrumental music in elementary school.

Amanda holds a bachelor's degree from Millikin University in Decatur, IL, and a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, both in Music Education.

Amanda is the director of the Taylorville Municipal band and is also a member of various music ensembles, including the Sounds of Swing Big Band out of Effingham, IL where she plays trumpet as well as serving as a choir and handbell director at an area church.

Most recently, she has started assembling an All-Female Big Band to perform at the ILMEA State Music Education Conference in January.

Congratulations, Amanda! We can’t wait to see you tonight at the ballpark!
