I used to think stepping into a teaching role meant passing on skills I’ve learned along the way. But what no one tells you is how much you keep learning, too.
Today I found myself in a class learning how to install extensions — something I never imagined would be part of my barbering journey. 16 years in, and I’m still adding tools to the toolkit (literally and figuratively).
Growth doesn’t end when you become the teacher. It expands — through patience, humility, and staying open to what the industry (and your students) can teach you.
