Today in Children's church we learned about The Flood in Genesis six through nine.

We learned that the people did not want to live under God's rule so God was going to send a flood that would wipe out everything. God found that there was one man who was not like the others; his name was Noah. Noah was a righteous man so God decided to save Noah and his family.

God called on Noah to build an ark. He gave Noah instruction on how it should be built. This included the type of wood, how to seal it, where to put the door, what animals to bring on the ark, etc. Noah did exactly as God commanded.

Today our children practiced building boats and tested them to see if they would float! We talked about how important it was to follow God's instruction so the ark would survive the storm ahead in the same way God teaches us how to build our life to withstand the storms that come.
