Being a personal trainer has so many rewards, for sure, and the greatest one being the relationships I get to develop and connections I get to make.

Thank you, Sandy, for the beautiful gift on our workout-iversary. And thank you to all of my clients for having me as your trainer. Even if I didn’t receive flowers, I would still be doing this…

This is my oldest client, Stew. He turned 89 today! What a milestone! Please join me in wishing him a happy birthday. Stew has a wit about him that makes our sessions fun. He impresses me still on how well he can move and remember things when he recalls stories from his past. He can get up off the floor without much assistance and bend down low to pick things up. He’s even recently helped others get up as well! 😊 Stew, I hope you have an amazing birthday!

Move more, eat better food, and sleep more consistently. That’s what we know we must do. But often, what holds us back isn’t a lack of knowledge. It’s mental blocks. Real and lasting change comes from showing up, stumbling, learning, and continuing anyway. Your journey doesn’t need to be flawless to be powerful.

If you are looking for a professional to keep you accountable, please reach out to me. Either email ([email protected]) or a DM works. I’ve got you, imperfect and all.

Virtuosity Training has had several client birthdays recently! And now it’s time to celebrate Kylee! She is a beautiful soul that knows how to do hard things, and she does hard things when we train together. She knows the importance of health, and that is why she and her husband have decided to work with me to get healthier, a journey that lasts a lifetime. Kylee is a joy to be around, and I look forward to each session we have! Happy birthday, Kylee!

This amazing lady had her birthday yesterday, but it’s not too late to send her the best wishes! Staci shows up consistently, even when she really doesn’t want to. That’s awesome to me, because we meet at 5 am three times a week! Staci is also open to trying anything new, even if she knows it will really challenge her. It is an absolute pleasure to work with her; we have lots of laughs. 😁 Thank you for working with me, Staci! liveuncommonlywell

Join me in wishing my client a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳 Dan is a pleasure to work with as a personal trainer. Very open to feedback and always willing to learn, he has a great knack for doing most movements, and he has a wit that is just fun to be around. Happy birthday, Dan! I hope this day you can celebrate you!

Do you have expectations that keep you from going to the gym or participating in a fitness routine? Scared you need to lift really heavy? Think you have to be moving for hours? Afraid you may have a hard time keeping up with others?

Just know that your fitness journey is unique to you, but for everyone, consistency works wonders. Believe in yourself and know you can make progress happen.

You can start with something small and build from there. You can focus more on how well you move first then look to increasing weights or speed. You just need to MOVE! Get out there, and DO IT! 👊🏻🩵

Challenge yourself. Do not fear failure. You can learn from your mistakes. Be confident to stay humble.

Join me in saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my client, Laura! She has the kind of s***k and personality that makes training fun, and she works hard every time! Physically, after enduring much, she keeps plowing forward and is as tough as nails. I hope you have an excellent birthday, Laura! You deserve it! 🩵

A couple of these you may not know. Easy to incorporate cool-down stretches at the wall:
✨shoulder flexion stretch (30-90 sec) - after any upper body pull exercises
✨tricep stretch (30-90 sec each side) - after any upper body press exercises
✨couch stretch (30-90 sec each side) - after any lower body press exercises, squats, or lunges
✨hamstring stretch (30-90 sec each side) - after any lower body pull exercises, squats, or lunges
✨calf stretch (30-90 sec each side) - after any bounding/jumping movements or running

Don’t make it complicated. You don’t need a bunch of fancy equipment to feel good after a hard workout. I encourage you to take some time to stretch for recovery, and I hope it becomes a habit for you.

Truly though, I love my job and feel blessed to work with and train several amazing people in the day to day. Shout out to my Virtuosity squad!

And shout out to my friend, Jamie, for the gnarly Thanksgiving workout. 😉
