BIG NEWS! The Slam is moving!!! 📦🚚🍺

We are excited to announce that the Show-Me Poetry Slam is moving to a new date -- the FIRST Sunday of every month-- at a new venue -- the Barrelhouse at Mother's Brewing Company!

We can't wait to see you there! Our next slam will be held on June 7th. Doors & sign-ups at 6; we pull the list at 6:30, and the slam starts shortly thereafter!

THIS FRIDAY! It's already May Poets' Corner Open Mic, can you believe it? With April showers come May flowers.. and hopefully lots of poetry, too! :0) Who's excited? We can't wait to see you there 🌈🐛❤️

Important Location Update!!!

Due to circumstances beyond everyone's control, we have had to relocate the Slam this weekend. Fortunately, the wonderful Wanda at Nathan P. Murphy's helped us find a new venue-- right next door at VINE and VIBES , Springfield's first zero-proof cocktail lounge and event space! We're grateful that they could accommodate us on short notice, and excited to hear your poems in a new space!

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., sign-ups are pulled at 6:30, and the show kicks off shortly thereafter! Can't wait to see you Sunday at the April Show-Me Poetry Slam!

Now we enter the long dark time: Six weeks until our next slam. Get your pencils out and start writing - we want to hear what you make at our next slam on January 25th!

Fight Big Poetry: write poems about how dumb the moon is. Read them tonight at the Show-Me Poetry Poetry Slam and you could go home with $50, $20 or our undying love and respect! Sign-ups open at 5:30 and close at 6; the show starts shortly thereafter and it's INCREDIBLE, if we do say so ourselves.
