Fresh Start Refugee Assistance Center - FSRAC is hosting a Women's Health Workshop on Saturday, April 27th, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Alexandria, Virginia. AMPAA's Patient Navigators, a team of female physicians from Afghanistan, will attend and host the Q&A portion of the event. Adult women are encouraged to attend to learn more about family planning, prenatal care, and other topics impacting women's health.

This Women's Health Workshop will be available in Dari, Pashto, and English and will provide a safe space for female community members to connect and learn safe health practices. Workshop address can be found on the flyer.

Female journalists are among the most disenfranchised citizens left behind in Afghanistan.

One journalist’s family took an extraordinary and dangerous path to get to the United States to file for Asylum.

Mom is an Afghan journalist and mother to three daughters (and a son). The risks the family took to ensure these children live in freedom, and their girls receive an education, are admirable. The parents are decent, hard working individuals. The children are incredibly intelligent and love school. They all speak three+languages. This is an amazing family that needs our help.

Unfortunately, their apartment requires a letter of support to renew their lease since they do not yet have jobs and they are facing eviction in mid-August.
