So much could be said and so much more depth is warranted, but this message is crucial for us as believers. Christ will come again. He will restore the earth. He will raise to life His faithful ones. He will rule over all the earth. The Jewish Messiah will become world ruler, and under His theocracy the earth shall know peace and harmony.

And it’s a major problem today. Hold to the historic faith.
The Bible is credible and unlike other world religions, Christianity has evidential proof for the historicity of our beliefs.

Many people quote the verse from Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” You know what the beautiful thing about that passage is? In context, it is actually an invitation for us to forsake our ways and our thoughts and learn the ways of the Lord. In fact, he wants to teach us.

That is why I wrote this song, “Quiet Places.” When we set aside striving in our own strength, when we forsake all of our vain and proud pursuits that keep us running to the bone, when we humble ourselves before the Lord and call upon him for wisdom, when we trust that his way is better even when we don’t understand why, Then we will find rest and begin to learn the ways of God.

It’s very rare in a culture that keeps us constantly on the go and prides itself in a packed schedule to quiet ourselves enough to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Find rest and hear the Lord as you commit to turning down the noise and setting your heart on him. I pray “Quiet Places” is a reminder for you.
