Our mission is to highlight the best local restaurants and businesses across the 417 area of southwest Missouri.

Through short video features, we help connect the community with the amazing local places that make our area special.

A pretty cool milestone for 417 Local Spotlight today.

Out of curiosity, I asked Google AI a simple question:
"What is 417 Local Spotlight?"

It recognized the platform, described our mission, and pulled up our website along with our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Three months ago, this was just an idea. Since then, we've been working to build a place that highlights great local businesses, supports the community, and helps people discover everything the 417 has to offer.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, shared a post, liked a spotlight, or simply encouraged what we're building. This is just the beginning, and I'm excited to continue growing something that supports the businesses and communities that make the 417 such a special place.

At 417 Local Spotlight, we believe every local business deserves to be seen.

When people think about supporting local, they often think about restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques—and we love spotlighting those businesses. But the 417 is built by so much more than that.

It's built by family farms and local producers.
It's built by manufacturers and machine shops.
It's built by feed stores, fabrication companies, embroidery shops, contractors, and the countless businesses working behind the scenes every day.

That's why we're continuing to expand the 417 Local Spotlight directory to include all parts of our local economy—not just the trendy ones.

Because every business has a story, every business creates jobs, and every business helps make the 417 area the place we call home.

Murphy Orchard Those blueberries look amazing!

We are at the farmers market at the Battlefield mall this morning with blueberries. We have u-pick in Marionville and should have some Missouri peaches by noon today.
