In 2009 I was asked to write a song for a Memorial Service for a unit of the 101st Airborne Division who lost several of their soldiers due to IED attacks in Afghanistan. The Division Morale Support Unit and the Division Band command sent SSGT Iaian Thompson to sing the song “I Cry” who also sang it for Their Memorial Day Service. In Memory of all we have lost defending the Freedom of our Great United States 🇺🇸 “I Cry.”
