The Mission of the Ozark Regional Lily Society is to promote the propagation and growing of lilium. Dues are $5.00 per person per year.

The Mission of the Ozark Regional Lily Society is to promote the propagation and growing of lilium. Society Historical Information: On September 10, 1986, the Ozark Regional Lily Society voted to become affiliated with the North American Lily Society. In May 1991, The Ozark Regional Lily Society (ORLS) hosted its first North American Lily Society National Convention and Show. Currently: The Ozark Regional Lily Society meets in November, February, March, and either June or July at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center at 2400 South Scenic Avenue. The meetings consist of a program on a subject of interest to people who grow Lilies and a business meeting. In November a Lily Society Member bulb sale is held, in February members meet in preparation for the Annual Lily Bulb sale for the Public, and in March the Annual Lily Bulb Sale for the Public is held. During June or July an Annual Lily Show showcases a variety of Lilies grown by Society Members. All times, dates, and locations are subject to change with updated information provided to the membership through e-mail, post cards and now our page. Shari Lakin created the best floral design in the 2026 Ozark Regional Lily Society show presented June 13 at The Library center in Springfield, Mo. It is a stacked/layered arrangement celebrating the Winter Olympic Challenge to the theme of “Masterpiece Perfection.”

Art Evans of Gravette, Ark., hybridized and grew the best seedling stem in the 2026 Ozark Regional Lily Society show presented Saturday, June 13, at The Library Center in Springfield, Mo. This lily is a cross of yellow Lilium leichtlinii × yellow-form of Lilium lancifolium. The narrow eyeliner edging on the tepals and the spots are endearing.

The best trumpet in the 2026 Ozark Regional Lily Society show was grown by Kim Peterson of Hermann, Mo. It was an imposing stem of ‘Ortega’. The show was presented Saturday, June 13, at The Library Center in Springfield, MO.

Congratulations to Art Evans, who grew and exhibited this stem of Asiatic lily 'Corsage' in the Ozark Regional Lily Society show presented Saturday, June 13, at The Library Center in Springfield, MO. Corsage’ was registered and named by Jan de Graaff around 1961. Its parentage is ('Lemon Queen' × unknown) × 'Edith Cecelia'.

SAVE THE DATE! The Annual Lily Society Lily Show will be held on Saturday, June 13. The Show will be in the Library Center Auditorium, 4653 South Campbell in Springfield, and open to the public 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. Want to know more about growing lilies in your garden? Repeat Performance!!! If you were not able to come to the Annual Lily Bulb Sale - You have a second chance!! With the storms last night many people were not able to make it! SO - 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14 we will again have lily bulbs for you in the Atrium at the Botanical Center at 2400 South Scenic Avenue.
