Manassas Elite Basketball

The team came out strong this past Saturday and won both of their bump games. Great prep as they get ready to head to a tournament in MD this weekend.

Tough weekend for the team but plenty of teachable moments. We've made some changes in the past few months and some more are on the horizon. Back in the lab tomorrow to prep for our tournament in MD in 2 weeks.

We know it’s a holiday weekend, but the team will still be playing.

ended for the team yesterday. But what an experience it was for the boys. Stepping onto the big stage of this huge national tournament (thank you Teammate Basketball) for their first time, the boys showed up and played well.

They went out in the first round of bracket play, but were one of 14 teams (out of 32 in their division) to make it to the Gold Championship bracket. The lessons learned and the memories made will last a lifetime.

Thanks to the coaches and parents for their support and making this trip possible. Couldn’t do it without you.

Today’s championship win in OT was an absolute demonstration of this. The game went right down to the wire and was a testament to the boys’ perseverance and trust in each other on the court.

They didn’t give up when shots weren’t falling, when certain things weren’t working, when errors were made… they stayed in it and came home with a well earned win. Congrats boys!! ☝️🥇🏆

This was the last stop on . We ready.

We go in with a plan and when that doesn’t work, we give you another plan, and if that doesn’t work, we give you another plan… until we find the plan that works. That’s what Coach Mike told the boys after today’s championship win.

Being able to keep going under pressure and not give up, but instead adjust and continue to adjust until you find what works… that’s what you do. That’s what these boys did today.

The hard work continues and is getting shorter.

And that’s what our coaches have been doing with us: challenging us to play up and grow. Wasn’t easy at first (we would get in our heads sometimes), but each time we’d play an 8th grade team we’d craft our game and get better as a team. And yesterday was a display of just how well our work is paying off.

Just some bump games yesterday, but we showed up, played hard and won both.

Saw a couple new teams this weekend, but the boys came prepared (as usual). Undefeated all weekend… and took home that trophy.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, especially our Manassas Elite moms. We love you and appreciate all the love and support you give us. Thank you for always being our biggest cheerleaders.

Came up short in both games today, but the boys rose to the challenge. Playing up and holding their own.

There’s a lesson in each loss, and today was no exception. Onto the next one.
