I started covering the Connecticut Sun in 2011. This image is from the 2013 season and for whatever reason has always been my favorite of Tina.

Regardless of the uniform she was wearing, I always enjoyed photographing her and just being around her.

One way you can measure an athlete (and really any human) is how their peers treat them. Tina was, I would say, respected and appreciated on and off the court by more players than anyone I can think of.

I’ll miss her but I suspect her retirement isn’t the last we’ll hear from her. 🙂

There is considerable terminology and phrases that translate across photography and cinematography (as well as other art forms).

One of my favorites is “dutch angle”. It’s something I employ on occasion for emphasis and expression.

Trust me when I say, go Google “dutch angle”. It works on my iPhone, haven’t tried it on a desktop.
