⚾️ This spring, Logan had the opportunity to speak with the RepMo Baseball Club and share a couple of lessons his dad, Chuck Wiley, taught him early on as a pitcher.
Chuck was a pitcher too, and these were things he always reminded Logan of growing up.
The first: When things don’t go your way or you make a mistake on the mound… tell yourself: “Next Pitch.”
Don’t carry it. Move on and focus on the next one.
The second: If someone walks in while you’re on the mound, they should never know whether you’re winning or losing.
Stay steady no matter the situation.
And one I don’t think Logan shared… (Chuck’s fire side 🙂) Never be afraid to get someone off the plate. lol
Simple lessons. Lasting impact. And special moments being able to pass them on to the next generation of athletes.

Grateful for the opportunity to share updates with the Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club and the impact the Chuck Wiley Athletic Foundation continues to make for young athletes in our community.

This is why we do what we do.
A pair of shoes. An opportunity. A chance to step on the track feeling ready.
This athlete needed support to get what he needed for the season. Because of this community, he got it.
And then… he showed up and won.
But this isn’t just about winning a race.
It’s about confidence. Belief. Opportunity.
It’s about a kid getting the chance to compete, to grow, and to see what’s possible.

Every year, more kids need a little help to stay in the game.
Not because they don’t love it.
Not because they’re not working for it.
But because sometimes they just need a little support to keep going.
Over the past few years, because of this community, we’ve given out $140,000+ in scholarships and supported 200+ athletes.
And we’re just getting started.
Because when you sponsor, this is what it actually looks like…
It might be helping a kid play local soccer or basketball.
It might be putting shoes on their feet or equipment in their hands.
It might be giving them a chance to play travel ball.
Or even opening the door to the next level they wouldn’t have had otherwise.
This isn’t just about baseball.
It’s about keeping kids in something that builds confidence, discipline, and belief in themselves.

Every season, we hear from families who just need a bridge…

so their athlete can stay in the game they love.
Our annual Wiley Tournament raises around $30,000 each year, but as awareness grows, the number of scholarship requests is now outpacing what the tournament brings in.

Today, Chuck would be 55.
What started as a way to honor his life and legacy has now become something far bigger than we ever imagined.
The Chuck Wiley Athletic Foundation has touched over 180 athletes and given out more than $130,000 in scholarships.
And every year, the Wiley Tournament clears around $30,000 to help keep athletes in the game.
As awareness has grown, so has the need.
Scholarships are now outpacing our funds. Which is both a beautiful reminder of how many athletes we’re reaching… and a clear sign that it’s time to grow.
