Congratulations to Drury University History and Political Science major Claire Baker who was awarded a national competitive grant through the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. The award provides funding for recipients to travel internationally to promote mutual understanding and respect. Through the grant, Claire will receive $4,000 to cover costs of her study abroad travel to Rome, Italy.
“The scholarship is important to me because it provides me with the financial ability to pursue study abroad, which is something I’ve always dreamt of doing,” she said. “Without the scholarship, I am not sure how achievable study abroad would be for me.”
