Mehan’s Lemonade is a local to Springfield family serving customers at the IL State Fair since 1934

Jan’s grandfather started Mehan’s Lemonade Shakeup Stand in 1934, but Jan started a new tradition in 2018.
It’s called the “Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese” also known as the ⭐️ TROOPER SPECIAL⭐️.
This sandwich is absolutely delicious and a fair favorite among the Illinois State Troopers.
Jan said, “As soon as we see a Trooper come by, I say slap on some Grill Cheese Mac and Cheese”.
Mehan’s Lemonade Shakeup Stand is located right next to the entrance of the Village of Culture at the Illinois State Fair.
