These two are SPECIAL PEOPLE and to say I’m excited about their wedding in Houston this fall is an understatement!!
It’s always so cool how each season is filled with engagement sessions for the next one , giving us an opportunity to spend time with each other and get excited for what’s ahead. I always leave these sessions even more excited for your day than I was before.

These are my parents. They celebrate 35 years of marriage this year. They’ve given me everything, and worked hard to provide a life of joy, adventure, laughs and wisdom, for each other and for me and my brother. I cried taking these. I love you guys. Thank you for your hearts. Thank you for being there. Thank you for all you have built and the memories we’ll continue to make.

Even the details you didn’t curate yourself matter to your memories. The flowers that were blooming, the balminess in the air and clouds in the sky, the dewiness of the grass and the way that sun kept peaking through the clouds to cast a second of light through your dress. I know you felt every bit, so I want you to remember it too.

Getting ready in a beautiful townhome in downtown Savannah - where every instinct of what these photos “should” be like was abandoned and replaced with doing the excitement, the joy, the beauty and the reality of it justice.

As the wife of an architect, design made me veryyyyyy happy :)

I’m finding more value is sharing more behind-the-scenes of these working weekends. While obviously not every detail is shared in these posts, being more transparent about the realities of being a traveling wedding photographer - everything from enjoying the beautiful moments and deep joys, to navigating stressful unknowns, long drives and little sleep - can help remind those looking how important it is to trust someone with your memories who has lots of experience, adaptability, responsibility, endurance, passion and care!
