We operate on the principle that the human body is powered by movement and your body is no exception

Your overhead position starts in your MID-BACK, not your shoulders. š§
If your thoracic spine canāt extend, your body borrows motion from your low back, neck, and the front of your shoulder ā and thatās where the aches show up.
Quick self-check: sit against a wall and reach overhead. If your ribs flare or your back peels off the wall before your hands touch, your thoracic spine needs some love.

Your body is resilient.
No movement is inherently bad for you. How you do things and overall capacity are important!
You are not your imaging. Read that again.
Small tweaks and accountability go a long way in keeping you active without injuries.
Yes, we always know when you skip your exercisesš
Need to get out of pain and crush your longterm health goals to live your best life? You know where to find usš
Shoulder pain isnāt just āpart of training.ā
We see this all the time with our active adults:
Pain during pull-ups
Pain during overhead presses
Pain during push-ups
Most of the time, it comes down to mobility limitations, movement coordination or strength issues, or training-load errors.
Fix the root problem, and your shoulders will thank you.
Save this for your next upper-body day, and send it to a friend whoās always complaining about their shoulders.

If youāve ever been to PT with us, you know we take your recovery seriouslyā¦
āØbut we also know movement (and rehab) doesnāt always go perfectly.
Sometimes you skip the cool-down. Or always lol.
Sometimes you āforgetā your home exercises.
Sometimes you swear you did them⦠but your PT has questions. š
And honestly? Thatās okay. Itās part of the process. Itās part of being human.
Healing, getting stronger, and learning how to move better isnāt about being perfect; itās about showing up, putting in the work, and laughing a little along the way.
So if you see yourself in these memes⦠just know weāve seen it before. š
Drop the one that called you out the most ā¬ļø
The worst thing many people do after an injury?
They stop moving completely.
Movement helps:
⢠circulation
⢠tissue healing
⢠strength retention
⢠mental health
⢠nervous system regulation
The key is modifying movement, not avoiding it.
If youāre unsure how to train around an injury, thatās exactly what Iām here for.
Comment below which movements youāre struggling to adjust, and Iāll help as many of you as I can!
