What are my writing goals?

1. To ease & relieve some of my stress, trauma, and high emotions through poetry.
2. To make the reader feel something deeply, even if it isnt the same thing I was feeling while I wrote it.
3. To write poetry that guts a reader.
4. To compile collections that take the reader on a journey, tells a story, and follows an emotional arc similar to any novel

I feel like if I was able to be more consistent and persistent with my writing, learn how to promote my work and market my book, interact more on my pages, and actually treat this seriously and like the job I actually want, I could actually be crazy successful and reaching a lot of people... But, I am tired, mentally ill, and have cripplingly low self-esteem and horrible imposter syndrome... so thank you for sticking around as I post regularly for 2 months and disappear for another four 😭

Three very different scenarios, yet there is a common thread here... The concept is basically how expectations change in relationships. Or, rather, how what you imagined in the beginning does not turn out that way in the end. I think there is a quiet strength when you read these in the order presented, however. The writer goes from fulll-blwon codependency, to walking away from what is hurting her, to naming what she wants & letting go of what she is not looking for, even if it isn't a bad thing like the others.
