I wonder what downtown Springfield looks like…

Check out this fascinating map of Downtown Spokane, WA, created by ! The red areas represent surface parking lots, while the purple ones indicate parking garages. This map clearly shows just how much space is dedicated to parking in a car-dependent city. It's a striking visual reminder of how our urban landscapes are often shaped more by vehicles than by people. Imagine the possibilities if some of this space were repurposed for parks, housing, or pedestrian-friendly areas.
Could we rethink how we use our city space and prioritize people over cars?

Interesting perspective.

'The right to have access to every building in the city by private motorcar in an age when everyone possesses such a vehicle is actually the right to destroy the city.'
