Reminder this is our last week. We have most items in stock for now. We will be open our normal schedule this week of 11-7 today and tomorrow, and 11-5 or we are sold out on Sunday.

Ps… We will be making a scrapbook of our time at the restaurant. We have some index cards that you can fill out with your favorite Smerqs stories or well wishes.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers and father figures!

We are running very low on our food inventory, so will most likely be closing early due to a sell out.

Also, please note we will be closed next week for our daughter’s graduation trip. Many wonder why we would go on vacation before we close for good. For us transparency is always the best policy. We chose to go on vacation that week because we are taking her to her first concert, and it happens to fall at that time. We’ve learned by losing so many in our family, that the happiness of our family comes first.

We appreciate you all and hope that we’ll see you when we come back on June 27th ( which happens to be my birthday.)

Sadly our time in the food industry is most likely coming to an end soon. Our lease will be completed at the end of the month, and our plan was to be done. We have been on this journey for 5 years total, including the 2 years it took to open during Covid. It’s not easy to walk away from something that we’ve created from the love of food and family. There is a small part of us that is trying to figure out if it is possible to continue on. However, we know that the direction our lives are going in, just doesn’t allow the time, with having a daughter going to college for basketball and a new granddaughter.

We have loved every moment of our time, even the not so great times, like the two fire scares ☠️😫👩🏼‍🚒…. We have come to know many of you personally, and will miss you dearly. We hope that we’ve made a positive impact on the food scene of Springfield.

We feel like we are going out on a high note. We have a 4.8 on our Google reviews, a 4.7 on Yelp and have passed all of our surprise health inspections.

We will have limited hours the remainder of the month with some basketball workout visits to our daughter’s college , and a graduation trip for her.
