UPDATE: A huge shoutout to the wonderful guys at Comfort Flow Heating!! Although they were unable to locate the kitten in the ducts, they made sure everything was dismantled correctly and then put back together properly for our foster family.
We are hoping the kitten actually slipped out the bedroom door unnoticed as foster was leaving room to clean the vent cover, and has found a genius hiding place somewhere in the rest of the house. Yummy snacks in every room to draw her out. 🙏🏻🤞🏻
THANK YOU Mike B. & Anthony R.!! We so appreciate your efforts to find our kitten!! 🫶🏻

Quart Low hanging with the big kids 💛🐾

Look who hit 335g and drank 45mls (biggest at one sitting since I got him) from his bottle by himself - all I had to do was hold it!! 🙌🏻 He’s figured out the suckle!! This is a really big deal for this tiny one because it means his development was just delayed, not a permanent impairment!! I am just so happy! 💛 Every ml taken in is now his choice, not mine, and that’s a big win! 🙌🏻
Look out world .. Quart Low is an overcomer!!

I love my colony caretakers. I wish more people were responsible and we weren’t needed, but since that doesn’t seem as if it will happen in my lifetime- I’m so thankful for the beautiful souls like Monique who have come along side me on this mission!
Monique arrived at her colony last evening to find all of the colony bowls taken .. not the first time, certainly not the last, but she handled it with grace and left them a message we both hope hits hard!
From Monique’s post:
For just about a year, I've been looking after a colony of community cats who, through no fault of their own, were left to fend for themselves in the only home they've ever known. I'm grateful for the friend who first noticed them, didn't look away, and reached out for help. I'm grateful for the friend who has guided and mentored me in becoming a colony caretaker. I'm grateful for the two wonderful neighbors who have stepped up to help, hosting shelters, keeping watch, and filling in to feed.
What I will never understand, though, is the folks who harass and abuse these innocent, vulnerable beings whose only crime is trying to survive in a world they never asked to be born into. My colony has had their dishes broken, stolen, trash thrown into them, soda dumped into them. Hostile neighbors have complained and even yelled at me for trying to provide a stable, dignified life for the cats. Our most elderly, frail little lady, who was suffering organ failure, even got sprayed by a garden hose in the last days of her life in the colony.
This is what I wish the folks there would realize: cats are NOT the problem, people are. When unfixed cats roam the neighborhood spraying your patio furniture, people failed. When generation after generation of kittens are born to suffer and die outside, people failed. People continue to fail every single day when they let their unfixed cats free roam outside. People continue to fail when they interfere with TNR'd colonies like mine, instead of putting that energy into helping solve the problems other humans created.
No one can save all the cats.
Not everyone can colony feed, or trap, or foster. But we can all certainly do something.
If nothing else, please be kind.
If you see animals suffering - or heartless humans hurting them, please don't look the other way.
May life treat you the way you treat animals.

Join the team that is saving lives every day!!
Kitten season isn’t really a season anymore—it’s year-round. But as the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, we see a frenzy of breeding and an explosion of kittens. That time is now.
CCATS Rescue currently has a long list of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) requests waiting for help. TNR is the only proven humane and effective way to reduce community cat overpopulation and stop the cycle before more kittens are born into difficult circumstances.
We’re looking for a few dedicated individuals to join our trapping team! No experience is necessary—training and equipment are provided. You choose your schedule based on incoming requests and your availability.
Together, we can make an even greater impact in our community, improve the lives of cats, and help end the endless cycle of breeding.
Interested?
Visit ccatsrescue.org and send us an email with your contact information. Please put “TNR Trapper” in the subject line.
Be part of the solution. Every cat trapped, fixed, and returned makes a difference.
“The kittens you never see born are the lives you’ve already helped save.”

Our community cat food pantry that our feral colonies rely upon is very bare.
With 273 little lives counting on us every single day, a bare pantry is stressful.
If you can help, we would be so thankful as would Melvin, whose mom is a feral resident at a colony we TNR’d last year.
We have drop points at Mckenzie Feed and Tackle, Nature's Pet Market Eugene, and Hometown Pets - Springfield.
If you’d like to do a drop shipment please pm for the address to ship to.
Or if you’d rather we do the shopping, you can donate here:
