Sermon for Sunday, January 25, 2026

Title: An Appeal for Unity in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:10-18)

Theme: The truth is that, although we have so much to celebrate as a church, we also face financial concern. This is hard, but not necessarily bad. First, it serves as a wakeup call – to recognize the danger of comfortable complacency. And second, it gives us the opportunity to reflect on why we exist and affirm our purpose. In 1 Corinthians, God urges his Church to resist division and disorder and exhorts these believers to acknowledge their unity in Christ – a unity of faith and purpose. Today, God is exhorting us to celebrate our unity in Christ and unite in purpose – that we may share the light of Christ with those who dwell in darkness within our community!
