Our new EMT, Beartholomew is getting down to the bear necessities during training today. 🚑 🐻

He is doing a bear-y good job learning how to safely ride in the back of the ambulance and is very paws on during patient care. Bear with us as he is training in dispatch, he can be a little grizzly on the phones. He is a little fur-sighted so reports have been un-bearable.

He is a one a million hire- no bear compares! 💚💙

On Sunday Heaven gained Chip Brown, an amazing leader, husband, father, grandfather, and servant. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, loved on us, and supported us during this time. Chip led Good Shepherd In Home Care & Transportation with a servant’s heart & an infectious laugh. We know things will never be the same, but we will continue honoring his legacy, his love for serving others, and bringing as much joy & laughter as we can. We lost more than an owner, we all lost a friend. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” 💚💙

A Poem for our Good Shepherd Wheelchair Team! 🖊 One of our beloved wheelchair clients enjoys writing poetry. Six months ago, we made and gifted him with his own poetry book and every few months we get a special poem delivered to our office. Some have been to Shep the cat, some to Bohannon the dog, some are for specific drivers. We have saved each one and proudly display them in the office.

Here is the one we received today. 💙
“All the Great Drivers at Good Shepherd!

There are these great drivers at Good Shepherd!
They keep me on my toes!
They are safely getting me to my destinations all the time!
They take me from the nursing home I live in and back home!
It is these great drivers with great loves and passions that inspired me to write these poems!
Without my love for art, and, poetry, and the human spirit!
I would have given up ages ago!
But I kept on going no matter what!
Because I knew that was all I could do!
And loved to do!”

It’s Baaa-lentine’s! 🐑 ❤️

The past two years we have ordered 300 roses to be passed out by Cupid & our drivers during the week of Valentine’s! We will be visiting our Homecare clients, facilities, & giving out flowers to our transport patients throughout the week. 🌹 It brings smiles to the people they are given too and fills our teams hearts with joy being able to show a little extra love to people this week!
