We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Walmart Neighborhood Market Asset Protection team and store managers for stopping by today with drinks and snacks for our officers.

We appreciated the opportunity to meet new faces, strengthen existing relationships, and continue the strong partnership we share both inside and outside of our stores. Community support like this is truly appreciated and helps remind our officers that they are backed by those they serve every day.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of the Springdale Police Department.

Our hearts go out to Captain Kelley’s family as well as our Law Enforcement family in both the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and Centerton Police Department during this time. Rest easy brother, we have the watch from here.

Our law enforcement family is mourning the loss of a truly remarkable man.

After many years of dedicated service, Chris Kelley, a longtime Deputy Sheriff with the Benton County Sheriff's Office, (Reserve Lieutenant), and Captain with the Centerton Police Department, has passed away.

He was more than a badge and a uniform. He was a respected leader, a trusted mentor, a loyal friend, a devoted husband, and a servant to his community. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He led with integrity, treated people with respect, and earned the admiration of colleagues, friends, and community members alike. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched throughout his career and beyond.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who served alongside him during this difficult time.

Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the example you set for so many. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest easy, brother. We have the watch from here.

🚨 Window Tint Laws: What Arkansas Drivers Need to Know 🚨

The Springdale Police Department Traffic Division wants to remind drivers that illegal window tint can result in a traffic stop and citation.

Arkansas law sets limits on how dark aftermarket window tint can be, including on front side windows and the front windshield. These laws help improve roadway visibility, driver safety, and officer safety during traffic stops.

A few key reminders:
âś… Most front side windows must allow at least 25% of light through.
✅ Front windshield tint is limited to the top “brow” or “eyebrow” area only.
âś… That brow cannot extend more than 5 inches down from the top center of the windshield.
âś… Tint that is too dark can lead to a stop and citation.

Check your tint before you drive.

Drive legal. Drive safe.

Ark. Code § 27-37-306
