Intuition and Lore

We’re back! We’ve had sickness and appointments and construction chaos but we’re finally finally functioning and thrilled about this release!

Every time we work with the sand from the Pyramids (brought back for us by a lovely customer), I try to think of a way to create something in a way that you can still touch the sand itself. I finally figured it out! These drop earrings are so perfect and, even though the dipped sand is secure, you can still touch it. So magical. ✨

I love that we can create these special limited pieces and give you a way to wear a bit of ancient wonder! Hope you love them as much as we do!

Just checking in to say we’re catching up on everything but not releasing anything until at least the weekend. We’re both better but still have construction going on in the house so we just feel behind and want to get caught up. It never fails that the crazy stuff hits all at once but we’re just happy to be functioning and able to get moving again. Love you all and we’ll put a countdown up before we post a new launch. 🖤

It’s not often you get a wearable Ro masterpiece but he was inspired by our crazy storms and created these lovelies. He painted the backs of these Victorian frame pendants like storm clouds and then added the bright flowers as a reminder that spring brings both. (We photographed these during one of our storms this week, as you can tell by the raindrops, which was perfect.)

We picked chrysanthemums because we could let you guys choose which color you want in your magical Ro creation. Chrysanthemums are said to rejuvenate and protect the wearer’s spirit and you can choose a cream, magenta, or yellow one (because they all looked so good against the stormy background that we couldn’t choose). Each of these will be completely unique.

When I ordered these findings, I thought they were bigger so I just planned to do a necklace but this is so much better because I got inspired to use two botanicals.

For “dusk”, we used cornflower because of its perfect dusky-blue color. Known as the patron herb of the herbalist, it’s said to strengthen intention, deepen insight, and heighten the sixth sense. For “dawn”, we used marigold, which is said to connect us to our ancestors, help arguments/legal decisions go in its wearer’s favor, and increase overall happiness. I adore these two with the mountains in these and feel the botanicals work really well together.

The way we have nightmares about trying to photograph reflective pieces in interesting ways. But, we keep trying; sometimes it works better than others. These are such a statement and a throwback to my youth so I wanted you to see them on. Hopefully, you can tell. They’re substantial but very light and the clasp keeps them secure and comfortable.

I’d been scouring the supply catalogs for findings to make big earrings because I love them in spring and summer with simple tanks and sundresses. These fulfilled my wish!

It felt like heather was the perfect flower to add for the warm months ahead. It’s so beautiful and it’s said to boost its wearer’s luck, protect from the evil eye/jealousy, and being prophetic dreams. Quite the trifecta.

I’m not sure there’s an “accessory” more tied to counterculture than the safety pin (tied with the stud, I guess). They’ve been a part of my life not only in that regard, but also because I’ve sewn since I was a kid (fun fact: I designed bridal gowns before I pulled Ro from traditional school). When I saw the findings to create these, I couldn’t order them fast enough! I’ve been wearing mine with other bracelets but my skin is just too dry to photograph so I pulled my vintage glove display for pics. 🤭

Since we’re us, we had to incorporate something that felt a bit dainty for balance and add a little plant magic. The crystal holds an oregano bloom, said to calm nerves and lend clarity, bring its wearer justice, and offer protection… a badass little bracelet meant to keep you calm, clear, and protected!

{Countess Counterculture} •$37•

We’re still incorporating more mediums into our newest pieces and this one is so dreamy. We used a lovely shade of acrylic paint from our plein air box to give this gem an abstract canvas feel. The color works so beautifully with the tea and red rose petals we swirled in.

Tea rose is said to revitalize a weary soul and, man, do we need that. Red rose is said to encourage self love, keep its wearer surrounded by true love, and amplify physical beauty.

These photos looked better in the camera but the gem is such a gorgeous bit of art. It is great to see the sun making an appearance in the photos, though, even if they aren’t the best. The bracelet allows for additional charms to be added as well, of course. We hope you’ll make it your own.

{Museum Day} •$37•

We’re switching releases around a bit to add this restock. Once I start to see a theme in requests, I figure it’s a fairly universal need and try to fill it. This is one of our most popular pieces of all time and we haven’t offered it in two years. It’s to aid in change and growth and, if that’s a need for you right now, I’m hopeful it finds you at the perfect moment.

The ultimate symbol of change is the snakeskin, and we are so fortunate to have a friend bring all the found sheds from a local horse farm. Snakeskins have been used for centuries to aid in smooth transitions. We next added copper leaf, said to keep its wearer’s heart and mind open. If you’re going through a change, you need to have those pathways open. And, finally, we added tigers eye, for protection and luck. The shape of this piece is also quite intentional. The diamond shape is said to draw clarity and wisdom, and ensure its wearer lives a deep and meaningful life. (I actually have this scared symbol tattooed on my ankle.)

I have wanted to make these for AGES. Snapdragons refuse to grow for me, I swear. But my friend, Chris, is gardening goddess and she grew them last year and brought me their adorable skull carcasses! I’m so in love!

Snapdragons are said to offer protection from ill will and the evil eye, lend their wearer a playful deviousness, and amplify manifestation. And they’re nature’s botanical skull! 💀

Each of the “skulls” are unique, which I love. I took a photo of another I pulled before I coated it, just to show (photo 3). We’re painting on the resin in layers, section by section, and they’re strong and perfect when they’re finished. They turned out better than I had dreamed and I’m so excited for you guys to have them! We can do silver or gold, so@let us know your preference.

If there are three things I love with my whole heart, they are: individuality, undone chic, and a random collection. I’m thrilled to see all three becoming more prevalent. Gen Z have discovered the messy perfection of Jane Birkin and Sofia Coppola and it’s such a welcome break from the trying-too-hard trends we’ve been seeing for the past decade. If you follow my personal account here, you know I have random bits and baubles on my bag (I’ll put it in the story) and I wanted to make a “starter” for anyone who wants to do the same. I love it so much that I’m keeping one, especially to wear on my Docs).

Each one of these will be unique. I’m using vintage trim from my bridal designing days, antique mourning lace, and gorgeous charms we can’t make in large batches on each. You can add all the trinkets you want to yours and you can do a million things with this baby. It’s a bag chain, can be an extender for pouchette-style bag, is PERFECT for Docs, and can be worn as a charm bracelet (I just didn’t take a pic).
