Though we aren't officially in summer yet, it's just around the corner. The pools have been opening up here in Ohio, and though it is far too chilly to take a dip, I am dreaming of spending time on the beach. I'm grateful for all the warmth that summer brings.

My book, Without Reservations, broaches the sensitive topics of children before marriage, divorce, a car accident, the death of a spouse, forced proximity and shared living spaces before marriage, forgiveness, and second chances. It is clean of explicit language, and there is no mention of drugs or alcohol.

All sensitive topics are included at the start of every book in a letter from me to the reader.

I'm so grateful to have a spouse who believes in me, encourages me to chase my dreams, and supports every decision I make. We have a partnership that has withstood many trials, some turbulent times, and endured loss so great it felt suffocating to us both.

But no matter what life has thrown at us, one thing has always remained. Our love.

There is no one on this earth I'd rather do life with than him.

The last two years have shifted me personally and professionally.

I'm taking what I've learned and sharing it in a new way.

Without Reservations is a clean and wholesome read. This means there are no explicit scenes or steamy moments. This book is for you if you are a closed door or clean romance reader.

As the reviews are coming in from the early readers, I feel it is important to make sure you are aware of this, because if you are a spicy reader, this book isn't going to be similar to what you are used to.

I choose to write clean and wholesome because I personally believe that a couple's intimacy is a private moment that should only be shared between the two of them. As a reader, I find it uncomfortable to read explicit scenes, and finding books that omit these is getting more difficult.

There is no right or wrong way to read or write romance, as it is entirely up to the reader and the author and what they are comfortable with. Clean and wholesome is the way that feels right for me as an author and as a reader.
