Going deep in the archives this year for 🦃🍹
Another of my - make a batch of boozy punch to serve your guests. It relieves you of having to mix individual cocktails and they often tend to be lower in alcohol than standard cocktails or wine for extending sipping without overdoing it!
It’s also a serve-yourself option for your guests so they don’t have to wait on you when they walk in the door!
I’m making my grandma’s - so yumazing!

My secrets for successful Thanksgiving pie making:
1. Start early, make the crusts and throw them in the freezer until ready to bake
2. A combo of butter and shortening for a flavorful/flaky flavor
3. A little bit ‘o wine in the cook for strength to get through the whole holiday season 🤗🍷🦃🤶🏻🎉

Thank you to all those who have served this great country! 🇺🇸

There are lots of that taste better than this! Don’t your guests deserve more this year?!? 🦃
You can buy high quality (low sodium) chicken broth and simmer it with some fresh (that’s carrots, celery, and onions to you and me!), a little white wine, and a turkey wing or neck, if you have it, to make a delicious stock that just needs to be thickened a little to be ready to grace your holiday table!
Or (my preference) buy an extra turkey - you know, the ones on sale for practically nothing with a $25 purchase…! - and poach it (that just means cook it in water gently, with a few bubbles popping here and there) for maybe 90 minutes, add that white wine and mirepoix and cook for another 45-60 minutes and then strain all the solids out. Reduce it down by simmering it (bigger bubbles popping) until richly flavored. I use the meat from that first Turkey for sandwiches or Turkey salad because I’m one of THOSE people who’d rather have the day-after-sandwich anyway! 🤪👩🍳
