Everyone has a happy place—a place where the stresses of life feel a little less heavy. Mine is my Grammy's house.
Sitting on her back patio, listening to the birds sing, watching them flutter from tree to tree, looking out over the cornfield, and feeling the breeze while gently swinging—it's the kind of peace that's hard to put into words.
For a few days, I'm slowing down from the busyness of work and life and simply enjoying the quiet. Taking time to be present, to breathe, and to appreciate the little things.
I didn't want to keep this moment all to myself, so I'm sharing Jenny and Jerry Wren as they care for and feed their babies. A small reminder that sometimes the sweetest moments are also the simplest. ❤️🐦🌾

I absolutely adore working at The Creative Photographer – Houston Rental Studio! Every session there turns into something so special, and this one was no exception.

It was such a perfect example of why so many families are choosing lifestyle newborn sessions. With the headaches I’ve been experiencing lately, I’ve been trying to take moments to slow down and just breathe. Last night, huge storms rolled through the area, creating incredible spectacles across the sky. Standing in my backyard, I found myself reflecting on our family’s last decade in Houston and the past 4.5 years in this home.
We’ve been so incredibly blessed, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the memories and moments we’ve built here. For every late-night conversation, every milestone, every chaotic, beautiful season of life that brought us to this point.
I’m especially grateful for every little person and creature that fills this house with life, love, noise, comfort, and purpose. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the stress, the schedules, and the uncertainty of what comes next, but moments like last night remind me how much beauty already exists right here, right now.
No matter where life takes us moving forward, these years and these memories will always be part of us.
