⚜️⚜️Let the Good Times Roll! ⚜️⚜️

These girls once again had an impressive weekend. The Diamond Legacy “The Cajun” tournament featured teams from TX, MS, AR, FL, and LA. Sudden Impact 2k16 showed determination and grit and after going undefeated in pool and winning their first 2 bracket games, fell into the losers bracket where they had not one, but 2 comebacks to make it to the championship game! In the Championship, we faced a tough ArkLaTex Bombers team and fell short. So proud of these girls and can say that every single one of them contributed throughout the tournament making it to the championship. Our defense was solid. Teams stopped trying to steal on our catchers because they kept gunning all baserunners down. I lost count how many baserunners we caught stealing! We also had amazing run saving catches in the outfield and infield. Most exciting though, was the fact that our bats got hot and contributed to the comeback wins. Lastly, our pitching staff stepped it up! Our pitchers came out throwing gas from the 1st inning and didn’t let off the throttle! Their ability and confidence on the mound continues to grow and it’s truly fun to watch!

This team is just getting started and we can’t wait to watch them the rest of the season!

What. A. Weekend.
Sudden Impact was on a mission. These girls went up against the absolute best competition, not just in Houston, but in Texas. The Space City Classic did not disappoint. Our girls started the tournament going 4-0 on Saturday. On Sunday, we played great softball again, but unfortunately the ball didn’t “bounce our way”. However, out of 30 teams in the 10U open division, our girls ended with a Top 8 finish. We faced tough competition and the girls were up to the test. This is a special group of girls that work hard and we’re looking forward to the rest of the season!
