It’s been a long time since my last shoot.
To sum it up? Burnout.
Not from photography, but from life.

This last shoot didn’t feel like a shoot.
I liked that.
It gave me perspective on how much has changed personally and creatively.
How much I’m still unsure about.
My routine, my desires, my expectations.
What it even means to be a respectable person… or a real artist.

A lot of education is about performing—just like modeling.
And last year, my body sent me a message:
“I don’t want to perform anymore.”
Or at least: “How much? Who for? And why?”

I realized something. I am answering so many other people’s questions and not enough of my own.

As a model, performance can be selfish.
That doesn’t make it bad—and sometimes it does. Sometimes, it’s not the model, but the demands put on the model. It all depends on why you’re doing it. Whatever life I live, I want to do it for the right reasons.

So it begs the same questions: “How much, for who, and why?”

As an educator, you pour into other people… and other people’s kids.
Some of it is expected.
Other parts— assigned “other duties”—affect your health.
And unless you have a solid circle, nobody asks how you’re really doing.

Kids ask, “Is this good?”
I reply, “Is it good to you?”
It’s a moment of reflection for them… and for me.

I know what I need—but not what I want.

In 2026, I’m free-falling into the unknown.
Scary—but something I’ve never done before.

I’ll let my yes be yes, my no be no.
I’ll face fear with both dukes up. 🥊 🥊

Life will have to work around that.

For now, this is me, mid-process.
