Our services and programs impact over 4,000 children, teens and families each year! Together, we’re helping children thrive.

We serve children who have experienced abuse, trauma, or instability through foster care and community-based services. We recruit and train foster families to provide safe, loving homes, while also working to improve the health and stability of families in their own communities. 🌿 In honor of National Pollinator Week, we're highlighting our Gardening Club and the hands-on learning taking place at Hunt Valley.

As students care for their plants and watch them grow, they're also learning about the important role pollinators like bees and butterflies play in supporting healthy gardens and ecosystems.

Every seed planted is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the world around us. 🐝🌻

Celebrating 20 Years of Visionary Leadership

Two decades and a legacy of clinical excellence and systemic impact.

This month, Arrow Child & Family Ministries celebrates a major milestone: the 20th anniversary of Chief Executive Officer Scott Lundy.

Since joining Arrow in 2006, Lundy has embodied a boots-on-the-ground leadership philosophy. Rising through the ranks from vice president of residential and foster care to president, COO, and now CEO, his comprehensive understanding of the child welfare landscape has allowed him to lead with both strategic precision and deep empathy.

Under his direction, Arrow has achieved monumental milestones, including:
Regional Expansion: Launching 4Kids4Families to revolutionize care in East Texas.
Educational Innovation: Opening specialized Arrow Center for Education campuses in Maryland to serve youth with advanced communication deficits.
National Recognition: Securing a "nationally exemplary kinship practice" designation from Generations United for Arrow’s Kinship Straight Adopt (KSA) program.
Long-Term Sustainability: Forming Arrow’s endowment to ensure the organization remains a beacon of support for decades to come.
Scott’s influence extends far beyond Arrow, he remains a trusted voice driving policy change and family preservation at the highest levels.

"Children do best when they are with a loving family and we plan to remain committed to family restoration," Lundy said.

Please join us in celebrating Scott Lundy for 20 years of dedicated service to Arrow, and more than 30 years of profound impact on child welfare.

We are incredibly honored to share that Jennifer McGlothlin-Renault, Senior Vice President of Maryland Programs, was selected as one of only four providers nationwide to participate in the High Acuity Youth Roundtable in Washington, D.C.

Convened by federal leaders at the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), this critical discussion brought together national decision-makers to shape the future of child welfare and complex behavioral health systems.

"Arrow is committed to working in partnership with state agencies to find innovative ways to meet the needs of youth and families in our communities," McGlothlin-Renault said. "Through Annie E. Casey Foundation’s invitation, I helped highlight community-based children’s behavioral health services that can reduce the use of congregate care in child welfare.”

This incredible recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teams and Arrow's unwavering commitment to ensuring every child and family has access to the stability, support and hope they deserve.

We are deeply grateful to the Annie E. Casey Foundation for recognizing Arrow's leadership in this space and for creating opportunities to influence meaningful change.

Join us in celebrating this major milestone and the national impact Arrow is making! 💙

Arrow was honored to attend SJRC / Belong's Blue Breakfast in San Antonio, joining fellow child-placing agencies, resource providers, and community partners dedicated to serving children and families across Region 8.

The event featured an insightful panel discussion that included one of Arrow's kinship caregivers, whose perspective highlighted the incredible impact of kinship care and community support.

We were also encouraged to hear about the progress being made across the region. Region 8A has experienced zero Children Without Placement (CWOP) incidents in recent months, while Region 8B has gone nearly four years without a CWOP incident. That's years of children finding safe, supportive homes instead of spending nights in offices or hotels while awaiting placement.

This incredible achievement is a testament to the dedication of SJRC / Belong, child welfare partners, and the foster and kinship families who continue to step up for children when they need it most. 💙

Every adoption starts with a family willing to say, "There's room for one more."

We're grateful for opportunities like the Hearts in Home Adoption Event, where Anne Marie Way connected with families and shared information about how adoption can create lasting change for children waiting for permanency.

Sometimes changing a life begins with opening a door, offering a seat at the table, and opening your heart to the possibility of forever.

If you or someone you know is interested in fostering or adoption, we encourage you to learn more by visiting arrow.org. And if you believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a loving family, please help us spread the word by sharing this post.

A little care can go a long way.

Recently, our Family Centered Treatment (FCT) team came together to help care for our campus through a cleanup project while also sharing messages of encouragement through hand-painted rocks created by one of our FCT families.

The project reflects a meaningful part of the FCT process, where families are encouraged to look outward and give back to their communities. It's a chance to strengthen connections, serve others, and leave a positive impact beyond themselves.

We love seeing the values of compassion, growth, and community come to life through both our staff and the families we serve.💜

Community connection starts with showing up. 💛

Our Brownwood team enjoyed spending time with local families, sharing resources, and building connections within the community. We're grateful for every opportunity to raise awareness, support children and families, and strengthen the communities we serve across Texas!

Out in the community making connections and sharing resources. 💙

Our Foster Parent Recruiter, Ashley Daniels, recently represented Arrow at the Galveston County DFPS Resource Fair, connecting with families, community partners, and individuals interested in learning more about foster care and how they can make a difference.

Every conversation helps create more opportunities for children and families to find the support, stability, and hope they deserve.

If you or someone you know is interested in fostering, adopting, or simply finding ways to support children and families in need, visit arrow.org to learn more and get involved.
