When it comes to safety, preparation and partnership are crucial. Led by our EP&R Manager Bo Gieger, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company recently brought together first responders, emergency management professionals, and industry partners for several safety and preparedness events throughout Wyoming.

A two-day first responder training event provided more than 120 first responders with valuable CO₂ emergency response training, while our Pipeline 101 session welcomed 100 attendees.

We also held a CO₂ Emergency Response Tabletop Exercise that included scenario-based discussions and problem-solving for 50 participants.

These events provided valuable opportunities to share resources, discuss best practices, strengthen relationships, and build a greater understanding of CO₂ pipeline operations and emergency response.

Thank you to our representatives for coordinating a successful week, and to all the first responders who participated. Together, we’re helping ensure communities are best prepared to stay safe.

Calling all Louisiana first responders: Register now for the Louisiana Pipeline Emergencies Training (LaPET)!

The LaPET program brings together first responders for hands-on training designed to build preparedness and strengthen pipeline incident response.

From classroom instruction to field exercises, this course provides practical experience to help first responders stay prepared and protect the communities they serve.

We are proud to collaborate with the FETA-Louisiana Fire and Emergency Training Academy and River Parishes Community College to support this important training opportunity.

ExxonMobil Pipeline Company’s Bo Gieger visited several first responder agencies throughout Mississippi recently to present Community Investments.

We’re proud to invest in the communities where we operate and support the first responders who are dedicated to protecting those communities.

These investments will support The Yazoo County Sheriff’s, Gluckstadt Police Department, Mendenhall Fire Department, Sharon Fire Department, Macedonia Volunteer Fire Department, and Jones County Sheriff’s Office.

The funding will help provide new emergency response equipment, air monitors, gear upgrades, and more - resources that help first responders stay prepared and safe while serving their communities.

Meet one of the people helping drive excellence at ExxonMobil Pipeline Company, Corey Wheaton. Growing up in Nova Scotia and inspired by early STEM experiences, Corey joined ExxonMobil seven years ago and has built a successful career spanning project management, sales and operations.

Today, as Process Lead at Finch Terminal, Corey helps lead the safe and reliable operation of one of North America’s highest throughput distribution terminals. His team recently added new products at Finch, helping create opportunities for renewable fuels in the future – an accomplishment he’s proud of and a testament to his team’s commitment to advancing our operations.

Beyond the terminal, Corey and the Finch team are dedicated to giving back, participating in more than a dozen community volunteer activities each year. From supporting local food banks to volunteering with STEM organizations, they’re helping strengthen the communities where we live and work and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers.
