Thanksgiving week feels like the right time to shout out the real MVPs of this whole operation: our significant others. The unsung, unpaid employees who stay behind the scenes because they’re too busy doing the ridiculous tasks we rope them into at truly unreasonable hours.
They worked full days at their actual jobs, then showed up here to hang cabinets like it’s a hobby. They coordinate dinner when we’re running hours behind, listen to us stress about formulas and schedules like it’s national security, and politely pretend to believe us when we say we’ll be “off by 6.” They’ve known that’s a lie since 2018.
And, yes, they’ve been best friends since they were twelve, which somehow makes all of this even sweeter and a little funnier.
This week is about gratitude, and we really are grateful. For every late night, every “can you help me real quick,” every version of this dream they’ve helped hold up.
They won’t see this until three days from now, but still… thanks boys. You’re doing amazing.
