Another 28kw Generac Next Gen installation. Great product.

01/25/2026

Texas homeowners: The most powerful air-cooled home generator ever made is now available.

New Generac 28kW delivers 28,000 watts with breakthrough technology that prevents problems before they happen.

Following Texas's record 1.5 billion hours of power outages in 2024, Montgomery County families are choosing smart backup power solutions.

Revolutionary Features:
⚡ Built-in cellular monitoring via smartphone
⚡ Electronic oil-level sensing (no manual checks)
⚡ Gas-pressure monitoring with early warnings
⚡ 15% fuel savings compared to previous models
⚡ Marine-grade aluminum withstands Texas humidity

Powers your entire modern home: multiple AC systems, Tesla charging, medical equipment, home offices, well pumps, pool equipment—everything simultaneously.

"We're installing this in a 4,200-square-foot Woodlands home next month," explained Vince A., Master Electrician at Veteran Electric Inc. "The homeowner runs a medical practice from home, charges two Teslas nightly, and has elderly parents with oxygen concentrators. The 28kW handles everything. Previous generators couldn't manage that load."

Professional Installation Required
Montgomery County installations require permits and inspections. Many Spring and Woodlands homes need panel upgrades from 100-150 amps to 200 amps.

Veteran Electric Inc manages complete permitting, electrical assessments, fuel coordination with CenterPoint Energy, and transfer switch installation.

"A Spring homeowner called after his handyman installed a generator. It failed inspection on seven violations. We spent $3,200 correcting mistakes that saved him maybe $1,000 initially. Proper installation is life safety."

Investment: $17,300-$22,100
Compare to outage costs: hotels ($450-$1,500), spoiled food ($400-$800), restaurant meals ($100-$200 daily), lost wages.

Financing Available: 0% APR for 24 months (qualified buyers)

Note to neighbors

Please hire licensed electricians to complete work at your home. Electricity is too dangerous to just let anybody play with just because they claim they know what they're doing. I go out on a daily basis and find absolute disasters by people who claim to be electricians. However, do not have the knowledge nor the licensing to do the work they are doing at your home. Everybody who is a licensed electrician. In the state of texas should have a physical card license on them. You have the right to ask for this. If they do not physically have a license on their person, you can also look it up at the Texas Department of licensing and regulation. I go out on a daily basis and see very unsafe electrical work done by people who just want to make a few bucks at your expense. I personally will turn in anybody doing unlicensed work that I come across.

The picture attached may look good from the uneducated eye. However, it has at least 10 code violations. Some of which are extremely unsafe.

The Map Shows Snow Elsewhere. Ice Writes Our Story Here.

Direct Weather's latest Snowfall Chance Map paints the country in contrasts. Purple zones stretch across the Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Northeast—above-average snowfall expected through spring 2026. The Southwest glows in tan and brown shades. Below-average snowfall. Southeast Texas fits squarely in this zone.

Residents of Harris and Montgomery Counties know better than to trust "below average" as safe. Snow rarely threatens us. Ice does. A single ice storm rewrites normal life faster than any blizzard up north.

The forecast pattern reveals something more concerning than snowfall totals. Sharp temperature swings. Storm clashes. Battle zone conditions developing across the country's midsection. These systems don't stay contained in their forecast zones. They drift. They collide with Gulf moisture. They create exactly the conditions that froze Southeast Texas solid in February 2021.

Winter Storm Uri arrived with 6°F temperatures statewide. Harris County saw 1.2 million customers lose power. Montgomery County went dark for three consecutive days. The "rare event" became the defining crisis of that winter. Pipes burst in homes built for heat, not cold. Emergency rooms filled with carbon monoxide poisoning cases from desperate families running generators indoors. Warming centers couldn't accommodate demand.

Four years later, the grid has improved. ERCOT added 10,000 megawatts of generation capacity. Weatherization mandates cover most critical facilities. Emergency alert systems function better. Rolling outages seem less likely during supply crunches.

Ice doesn't care about ERCOT improvements. Distribution networks remain vulnerable to frozen lines, failing transformers, and equipment stressed beyond design limits. January 2025 proved this reality when Houston-area utilities mobilized 3,000 emergency workers specifically for ice-related outages, not generation shortages.

Your household's resilience doesn't depend on ERCOT's performance. It depends on your preparation decisions made months before the first freeze warning.

Standby generators eliminate grid dependency during the exact moments the grid fails most. Natural gas or propane fuel supplies continue flowing when electrical distribution stops. Automatic transfer switches detect outages within seconds, starting your generator before you finish reaching for a flashlight. Whole-home coverage keeps every critical system operational—HVAC, refrigeration, medical equipment, communications, lighting.

The installation window matters more than most homeowners realize. October through December offers ideal conditions. Electricians maintain normal schedules without emergency backlogs. Equipment manufacturers ship without weather-related delays. Your family gains months of experience with the system before actual need arrives. You test operation during mild weather, adjust settings comfortably, and build confidence in your backup power infrastructure.

Waiting until January means competing with every other household that ignored fall preparation. Installation crews book solid for weeks. Equipment inventories thin. Rush fees apply. Emergency installations happen in freezing conditions, slowing the process and increasing complexity.

Veteran Electric Inc operates throughout Spring and The Woodlands with master electrician licensing, Tesla certification, and official Generac dealer status. Every assessment includes electrical panel capacity analysis, generator sizing for your specific loads, transfer switch specifications, and fuel source integration planning.

The conversation starts with a free consultation. No sales pressure. No obligation. Just professional evaluation of your home's requirements and transparent options for protecting your family.

Direct Weather's map shows where snow will fall. Your preparation determines whether ice finds your household vulnerable or protected. https://earth.google.com/earth/d/1EUelV_Y55ATqRXM829dsmzqAQBvQGe6H?usp=sharing
