I'm gonna say something to the artists, the speakers, the musicians, the entertainers, and the owners with something BIG on the calendar. There will be times when you need to tell a story about your business LIVE. There are things we cannot possibly stage at your brand session like a grand opening, concert, party, or conference. I can't possibly say this loud enough: *These opportunities are PURE GOLD for adding to your image library!*

Have something coming up on the calendar? Send me a DM and let's talk about using this opportunity to Restock your image library!

Whew, we've almost made it people! “May-cember” is a reminder that busy seasons aren’t the problem… they're just the reality of life & business. If you're done marketing reactively and ready to partner with someone who can help you think about your long-term visibility needs, let's talk. I'd love to chat with you on a discovery call but DMs are a great place to start. Tell me about the pain point in getting your business in front of your ideal clients and let's start changing that!

Your business doesn’t stay the same so your photos shouldn’t either. That’s exactly why I created The Restock. This is the perfect way to add a new set of images to your marketing library.

✔️ Fresh content without a full shoot
✔️ Perfect for launches or updates
✔️ Built for busy seasons

Same impact. Less time commitment.

If you need a small but mighty set of strategic images that can help you announce a launch, tell a story, or release a product, message me “RESTOCK” and I’ll send details.

Do I feel like getting in front of the camera in May? Nope.
Do I love having fresh content all summer without scrambling? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

This is the part people miss: A guided strategic brand session helps you batch marketing to carry your business for MONTHS, not days.

That's what I offer. It's actually all I offer. Before I ever pick up a camera for a session, I'm gonna dig both hands into a business and ask "what's this service? who's your ideal client? what problems do you solve for her? what do you want her to know about your business?" And then I create a photo list that anchors each of those things you want to say.

If summer content already feels stressful, let’s fix that before it starts.

Let's be honest: If it’s important but not urgent... it tends to get ignored until it BECOMES urgent. (For me that's often meal planning 🤪)

If you run your business under the "tyranny of the urgent," you'll never truly be your own boss. Before the summer schedule hits in earnest, I schedule the things my future business depends on:
– email marketing
– website update
– client experience review
– social posts

I create an intentional “slow season” for my business so I can go to the beach, visit family, hit the pool, and read a just-for-fun book. This doesn't just happen; it's created with intention. That's the power of strategy in business.

What’s one thing you need to schedule now to make your summer easier?

Time is my most valuable resource (and it's probably yours too). Every day we budget how to use our time and, if we're not careful, the urgent must-do's dominate our schedules, never leaving us the margin for things we value... reading a good book, catching up with a friend, practicing a new hobby.

Every May, my husband and I sit down and look at summer as a whole, not just week by week. We say no to good things so we can say yes to better ones. Our oldest is going into 3rd grade which means we only have 10 more summers to reasonably expect him to spend with us (and some of those he'll most definitely have a summer job).

If you're ready to start looking at the big picture...
If you want a business that allows you to hustle some months and ride the momentum in others...
If you want a partner who can help you analyze your marketing needs...

Let's talk. Brand photography can help YOU.

Real check-in… how are you doing right now? “May-cember” is no joke. Busy work schedules, end-of-school parties, extra commitments on the calendar... And is it just me or is the TRAFFIC worse too??! This is the point in the year where I make a few thoughtful decisions that actually lighten the mental load:
- Budget my summer
- Add reminders to my calendar
- Book my personal brand session

I'll be sharing more about each of these over the next couple of weeks! Use them like a checklist for yourself if the "May Crazy" is starting to feel overwhelming.

Show AND tell! Ready for another example? Let's say you're looking for a speech therapist for your child. This is all new for you and you're looking for a place that emphasizes 1:1 connection, builds trust, and provides a safe environment for your little one.

You find a place that claims to provide all of these things but the website? Stiff, corporate looking headshots. The Instagram feed? Block quotes, stock photos, no sense of personality. This could be one of one million generic offices.

doesn't leave people wondering, "Will my child receive personalized attention? Can I trust the provider? Is the environment child-friendly?"

In the case of Bluebonnet, our goal was to show that they are a pediatric speech therapy practice that provides family-centered, play-based, and neurodiversity affirming speech therapy. They are therapist owned and prioritize building connection. Their mission is to help kids grow and thrive.

They aren't just telling people; they're showing them too. That's strategic brand photography.
