A few fun facts to share at your next holiday gathering:
✨ Poinsettias aren’t actually flowers — those colorful red “petals” are leaves called bracts.
✨ They’re native to Mexico and were introduced to the U.S. in the 1800s.
✨ National Poinsettia Day is celebrated on December 12, honoring Joel Poinsett, who helped popularize the plant.
✨ And good news: despite the rumors, poinsettias are not toxic to humans or pets (though nibbling is still not recommended).

So go ahead — grab one for your home, office, or front porch and enjoy a little festive color. Just remember to water it occasionally… unlike last year 😉
